Pedrosa laps close to 2003 lap record on first day
DANIEL PEDROSA
(2nd, 2’07”644): “My adaptation to this circuit has been quicker than usual and on the first day we are already close to lap record time from 2003. I felt a little uncomfortable this morning but we made big improvements in the afternoon. Finding the right set-up is difficult because of the heat but I hope it doesn’t affect us as much as in Qatar. It’s been a positive first day even though we have a few details to refine”.
HIROSHI AOYAMA
(5th, 2’08”510): “I like Sepang. I’ve adapted to the circuit without too many problems, even though it is quite technical. I am happy with the lap time I set today and I think I can improve it quite a bit because I made a mistake in the last corner. We are working in the right way and we just have to sort out a few minor set-up details”.
ALBERTO PUIG
(Team manager): “You could say that today’s session was a typical Friday – both Dani and Hiro sret about discovering the circuit and working on the set-up. We can be satisfied both with the job done and the times set”.
