Dani knocks 3.680 seconds off his provisional time
DANIEL PEDROSA
(2nd, 2’03”181): “It was a tough session because of the heat but we were able to improve over the course of the session and the track also got better. It was difficult to stay on the same line because the track is really shiny and you can’t see too well. But the important thing is that we have done tyre tests and we are pretty clear about what we need for tomorrow. It will be a tough race for everybody and it will last for ever but I hope to leave here with a good result.”
HIROSHI AOYAMA
(6th, 2’04”568): “I am not completely satisfied today because I was hoping to knock more off my time to get more comfortable on the track. I think we’ll have to make a couple of changes in the warm-up and get a good start in the race to get as close as possible to the podium”.
ALBERTO PUIG
(Team manager): “Dani has done a good job – a front row start here is important. It will be a really hard race here because of the heat and he will have to be very careful not to get off line into the dirty part of the track. I hope Hiro can get a good start and make up a few positions”.
