Fecha 30-09-2004

Dani lines up fifth and Aoyama seventh on the provisional grid

DANIEL PEDROSA

(5th, 2’06”861): “The morning session was really tough because it was so hot – I was prepared for it to be hot but I didn’t expect it to be quite that bad. The track was also quite dirty and the two factors combined. We did bettter in the afternoon, getting used to the temperature, and that’s a good thing. We also improved the bike a little because I didn’t feel comfortable with the front end. We’re making small steps forward”.

HIROSHI AOYAMA

(7th, 2’07”032): “This will be a tough Grand Prix because it is so hot – I’ve never known conditions like it. I didn’t feel good at all in the morning but in the afternoon I improved a lot and we knocked three seconds off the time. Hopefully I can take another step forward tomorrow.”

ALBERTO PUIG

(Team manager): “It was a tough day because of the heat, although it’s very important that they get used to it. We are at a new track with no previous data and we have to take things step by step.”
